Jean Murray arrived in Nome, Alaska in 1966, and later moved to Fairbanks and Anderson, Alaska where she resided until 2016. She now lives in Wasilla, Alaska.  A hike over the historical Chilkoot Trail and a holiday in Dawson, Yukon Territory, built on a life-long interest in music which culminated in writing the book, Music of the Alaska-Klondike Gold Rush: Songs and History, and producing the companion CD, Music of the Alaska-Klondike Gold Rush on which Fairbanks musicians performed and are all acknowledged on the Liner Notes page of this website.
